Powders Treatment and Properties Modification APT is pioneering the development and experimental investigation of a universal, adjustable, and scalable instrumentation platform based on a high-power inductively coupled plasma (ICP). This platform enables an innovative process we refer to as Plasma-Assisted Molecular Recombination (PAMR) technology. Through this process, the plasma chemical reactions are initiated at ultra-high temperatures of up to 7,000 C, allowing metals to be vaporized into a plasma state. In this state, elements can be more easily mixed at the atomic level, enabling the creation of novel alloys with properties unattainable through conventional melting processes. APT has developed several transformative industrial scale technologies based on its commercially available ICP systems APT-100 and APT-200, making a qualitative leap from conventional material synthesis and surface modification processes to combined techniques of melting, vaporization, decomposition, and reassembly. For instance, the system can produce nano-powders from metals such as aluminum (Al), titanium (Ti), silicon (Si), magnesium (Mg), and others. By disassembling and reassembling atomic components in situ, APT's PAMR technology can create alloys with highly controlled compositions and precise properties, offering immense potential in advanced manufacturing. The key advantages of PAMR technology are: · Simultaneously recombine all feedstock materials · Remove impurities · Perform spheroidization · Reduce particle size · Perform surface properties modification, including coating © 2024 Applied Plasma Technologies, Corp.
