Applied Plasma Technologies (APT) develops and manufactures plasma assisted combustion
systems for reliable ignition, flame control, clean and stable combustion of different
fuels in gas turbines, high speed propulsion systems, boilers, technological burners.
APT also conducts research and development in some new fields as high current
plasma switches, liquid and solid fuels reformation and hydrogen production, waste into power processing, nonequilibrium
plasma coating and surface treatment.
Focused on searching and validation of innovative plasma based technologies for
further commercialization and mass production, APT develops and manages several
international projects, including 1 MW Plasma Torch for Waste Destruction and Coal Gasification, Supersonic Plasma Pilot, High Power Plasma Switch, Plasma Fuel Nozzle, Plasma Enhanced Tornado Combustor, Plasma Gas Ionizer, etc.
APT is the organizer and host of the annual International Workshop and Exhibition on Plasma Assisted Combustion (IWEPAC). IWEPAC-4 will be held 16-19 September 2008 in Falls Church, Virginia, U.S.A.
